THE PERSON BEHIND XINONIX
David founded Xinonix Interactive Development, Inc. in 2002 to bring software architecture, hands-on engineering, and full lifecycle delivery to complex technology projects.
His consulting work connects two substantial areas of experience: clinical technology and software for public health, research, and human services. That includes medical imaging and interoperability, university-led research, community harm reduction programs, and nonprofit platforms for public and social services.
He has designed DICOMweb services for AWS HealthImaging, contributed to cross-enterprise imaging exchange at Life Image, built clinical device interfaces at Canon, and connected electronic data capture to drug safety reporting for CorEvitas, now part of Thermo Fisher Scientific.
For Brandeis, he designed and built StreetCheck, a platform for community drug checking. At Brown, his work includes the public-facing MyCOVIDRisk application and the CATCH-IT research project. His long-standing collaboration with HSRI spans Verity Analytics, disability and kinship services, and state health-data systems.
Across those projects, David works closely with clinical, research, and product teams. He connects the technical detail to the people, workflows, and constraints the software must serve.

WHAT DIRECT COLLABORATION MEANS
The person in your first technical conversation is the person designing and implementing the solution.
Standards, clinical and program context, architecture, and operations are part of the engineering conversation from the start.
From scoping and design to production release and support, the work follows the outcome your team needs.
BOSTON HEALTHCARE INTEROPERABILITY
David founded the Boston Healthcare Interoperability Meetup, a community of more than 750 members interested in connecting healthcare systems and sharing practical experience.
The same curiosity carries into his open-source work, including FHIR serialization, a FHIR REST client, and a framework for SMART on FHIR applications.
